Guitar Tuition

Alastair has taught the Guitar since 1988 either as a part time peripatetic teacher or as a private tutor.
Between 1989 and 1994 he was a Guitar Examiner on behalf of the Guildhall School of Music External Examinations Department. During this time he examined candidates from Preliminary Grades to Performance and Teaching Diplomas for both the Classical Guitar and the Plectrum Guitar syllabuses.

Alastair is an accredited teacher for the Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership and is a part time peripatetic Guitar teacher.
He holds up to date DBS and Safeguarding certificates.

PRIVATE TUITION
Lessons are offered to pupils of all ages and abilities.
These one to one lessons take place using video calls such as WhatsApp or FaceTime.
Many styles of playing can be taught.
Lessons cover technique, theory and musical understanding.
Alastair's preferred examination syllabuses are the Rockschool Electric and Acoustic Guitar and the Trinity Classical Guitar syllabus.

After this they can book lessons if they want to.

Private lesson tuition fees (One to One Video) are-
£14 for 20 minutes, £21 for 30 minutes, £35 for 40 minutes and £42 for 60 minutes.
